• To create and promote a culture of research among the faculty and staff.
• To prepare and develop Scientific tempers of the faculties and research scholars for high quality research work.
• To organize and promotion various workshops and short term training programmes on research methodology by inviting experts and eminent personalities from the field of Physical Education and allied Sciences.
• To organize various conferences and seminars on deferent themes of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
• To enhance the research output of the institute by preparing the Master Degree Students as well as PhD. Scholars in writing Scientific Papers and Research Articles and publish in reputed conferences, UGC referred & peer reviewed journals of national as well as International Journals like Scopes and Web of Science.
• To make available publish research material and published information in appropriate media for the end users.
• To keep track and record of publications made by the faculties and research scholars.

• BPCA Research Cell is actively involved in conducting regular PhD. course work prescribed University of Mumbai.
• Under the aegis of Sports Psychology Association of India (SPAI) and approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India sponsored National conference was organized in the year 2017.
• Research Cell organized several orientation programs and workshops Research Methodology etc. for M.P.Ed. students, PhD. research scholars and teachers.
• Various in house research training programs have been organized by research centre for M.P.Ed. students, PhD. Research scholars and teachers, such as workshop, online webinar etc.
• The research cell organizes an online sessions for teachers and research scholars of Social Science specifically Physical Education on the areas such as – Referencing styles, Citation, Use of SPSS in data analysis, Data collection tool, Preparing Research proposal and Research report, Identifying research funding agencies etc.
• The Cell is continuously working in the direction of promoting the research culture among the different stake holders.

• Each and every faculty member has completed Minor Research Project sponsored by University of Mumbai.
• The faculty members, Master Degree Students and PhD. Scholars have participated and presented papers in national and international conferences.
• Faculty members and PhD. Scholars have published research papers in UGC Refereed and care listed Journals of high impact factors as well as International Journals like Scops and Web of Science.
• The faculty members have published learning materials and books in national and International Publications.

“Research is for Research and not merely for the Degree” by keeping this aim in mind BPCA’s College of Physical Education established Research Cell in 1996 to promote, monitor and address research activities. The prime objective of the Research Cell is to monitor and administer Research programs for faculties & Research Schoolers and encourage them to develop scientific temper and rational approach in their Research activities in Physical Education and Sports Scientise. The cell also focuses on quality of research activities by providing the necessary infrastructural set up like Physiotherapy, Athletic Care and Rehabilitation Laboratory by providing equipment for test measurement & evaluation on various variables like Physiological, Physical Fitness, Health Related Physical Fitness and Motor Fitness, Psychology Laboratory by providing various Questionnaire, Scales and Inventories on various Psychological Parameters, Library by providing journals, e-journals, Books and encyclopaedia and Well equipped Computer Laboratory with Wi-Fi and required softwiresetc.to faculties and Research Schoolers at large.
